I'm trying to create a professional quality 24p DVD (Progressive: 23.976 fps) But when you open Encore and choose Authoring Mode: DVD I only have two options PAL or NTSC and all the other options are disabled! But that screen says: It will be either 29.97i for NTSC or 25i for PAL. I'm trying to make a real DVD here! Not a home movie. How do I get rid of the interlacing and get it to 24 fps? If I change the transcode settings inside the project after accepting one of those bad settings does that do anything? It doesn't seem like it when I write my DVD.
Can Adobe Encore CS3 make a 24p DVD or not?
tbb.dll file missing, application cannot launch
The version of CS6 I have downloaded from Adobe, says there is a tbb.dll file missing and the application cannot launch. Is there a different version I can download? Although I have uninstalled the Premiere Pro CS6 version, my cloud manager says it is still installed and up to date, how do I solve this conlict? I am using a PC with Windows 8.1.
Best export settings for blu-ray.
I'm in the process of making a blu-ray that includes a slideshow done in AE. I have several questions regarding export settings that I can't seem to find a solid answer for anywhere online. I want the quality to look excellent once on the blu-ray. I would like to export 60fps if that would look any better than 30/24fps (now or in the future, and if all current HD-TVs would be compatible). I would like to know how many bits per channeI should choose in color settings. I would also like to know if I should disable the layer cache and ignore sequence rendering errors in the 'secret' preferences section. I just watched a tutorial that said to change the bits per channel to 16, and enable those two 'secret' preferences, but the person giving the tutorial didn't explain what they do.
One problem I'm currently having when exporting (a .mov file with PNG compression) is very strange audio (that I can't even notice until I convert the video to something like h.264, and can preview it), and it just started doing this out of nowhere. I exported my project in a Quicktime format using PNG compression to have a 'lossless' quality file without it taking up half my hard drive. From what I've read this is the correct way to export from AE. Then I read that I should take that file and convert it using Media Encoder for whatever resolution/format that I need. What would be the best format to convert to for Blu-Ray using AME?
I am fairly new to AE, but have a good deal of experience with Premiere. I've also been working on PC's since the mid 80s so you can respond in technical jargon if need be and I should be able to follow anything you explain (for the most part).
Ultimately I would like to know the best settings to export from AE and Premiere (for a few other videos), as well as the the best formats to (use with a final export to Blu-Ray in mind). I will not be needing this for the web, dvd, or PC at all (ever). I would also like to know what settings I should use to export a small 'preview' of my project. What I'm trying to do is export at like half the resolution, quickly, and a really small file size, just so I can see what my project looks like so far. I would just use the preview window in AE to do this but don't have a ton of ram and it also doesn't play back audio.
I offer my appreciation in advance for answering this to the best of your ability and know that anyone else trying to do this same thing, which I would imagine will eventually be thousands or millions, will greatly appreciate it too. Thanks and I look forward to hearing everyones input.
Why no sound on an imported MPEG 2 file?
Hi Folks,
I have been trying to build a Blu-ray in Encore. I have imported 5 separate MPEG 2 videos. They all play successfully in the Encore monitor window with sound except for the last one. I can open this in VLC or Cyberlink and it plays back just fine. But the damn thing has no sound in Encore. Any suggestions? (And there is nothing showing in the progress window when I import it).
Thanks in advance. This project is within a hair's breadth of being finished. I'm highly frustrated that I just can't export this to an ISO image and then burn my Blu-ray. Three months of work comes down to 3 days of frustration with Adobe.
Burning Blu-ray discs with Premiere Pro CC 2017
I just purchased PP CC 2017 and edited an event. Now I want to burn it onto a Blu-ray disc. I cannot find any instructions on how to do this. All the tutorials that I have found relate to PP CC 2016. I was told by a chat person that PP CC 2017 no longer comes with Encore and that the latest version of Encore (CS6) is not compatible with PP CC 2017. They say that you now have to use Media Encoder to burn discs with PP CC 2017 but I can not find any instructions on how to do this.
Can anyone help me with this or do you know of a goodtutorial that explains it?
One more thing; I am at the Beginnerlevel of working with Premiere Pro CC 2017 so please do not assume I know all the details of how it works. I have burned DVDs with Premiere Pro before but that was about 10 years ago and I haven't worked with it much since then and it seems the process of burning discs is quite a bit different. Thanks!
Encore OSStatus Error = -47
Trying to burn a DVD with menu's it is about 6gb on a dual layer dvd. i keep getting this error. If i burn just one of the files it works. just not when i add sub menus
How to sync subtitle timeline with video timeline?
The original subtitle file are .srt, i am using subtitle edit to convert them to adobe ntsc .txt for import into encore. But they are not synced properly. How do I sync these? When I originally import the subtitle file into encore it has an exclamation point on the timeline, i right click that and get and option to "fix the gaps" which I do but the sync is still off.
Is it framerate? the original video is 30fps, subtitle edit tells me the default fps for the subtitle files is 23.975 and the output files from encore are 29.975 for DVD and 59.975 for Blu-ray.
Thank you.
Button Highlight turns Black in Encore
Hi all. Am confused about what is happening here. I am trying to make my own customized Button Highlights. First thing I do is get my object in photoshop by doing the following. Change "background" layer to a "layer". Then using color range, delete the background so only the item I want is left on a transparent canvas. Save it. Then import it into the psd file for my Menu. I add this as a new layer under one of the Chapter groups. Add the appropriate label "(=1) highlight". It looks like it should work on photoshop. I see the design with full color where the button highlight should be.
However, once this psd file is imported into the Encore, and the "show highlights" button is clicked, the menu shows only a black version of the highlight. in other words, it looks like a black shadow of what the file should be. For example if the button highlight is supposed to be a picture of a red apple, all you see in Encore is a solid black apple. Although in photoshop, when you make that layer visible you see a red apple.
Anybody have any idea what is going on here? Why does it look normal in photoshop, but when imported into Encore as a menu file, the button highlights become only Black shadows?
Thanks much.

Download full library content for Encore
The link on the support page no longer works, Where can I get the full library content for Encore?
Thanks!
My DVD's won't go back to the Main Menu after playing a movie
I have CS4 Encore. I have a disk I've made that plays beautifully...it has 4 movies on it with motion menus and animated picture buttons on the main menu. Looks great.
However, no matter what adjustments I make to the Encore project, I cannot get it to automatically go back to the main menu once one of the movies has been played. Each movie repeats itself instead. I have to manually make it go back to the main menu with the DVD Player Remote. Very frustrating.
It must be a simple solution, but I'm missing it somehow. Suggestions?
Rolling credits font
Sorry for all the questions but its crunch time here and I have several DVD's that I have to finish for Christmas shows.
On Rolling Credits. What is the secret to the right font to use for that? I had a very fancy Brush Script font that looks awesome in the still frame but it terrible in the preview and render to highest quality SD.
I then read a post that it has to to with the font selection. So I choose Arial, pretty basic right? The m2v file still is all zebra stripped when it rolls. What is the secret to getting GREAT rolling credits to work in output?

"device not ready", Code; "3" Note; "File can not open" I'm considering giving up on encore and life itself.
So, where do I start. The error I get in all instances (Unless I import an mpeg instead of h264 bluray file, in which case I get a different error about the video properties not being the same as the timeline) is this:
Blu-ray Error; "device not ready", Code; "3" "File can not open. and then the file path and it points to \AuthorScriptHDMVSessions\Filename.m4v.21_35_15 etc etc (more numbers) UTC+01_00DST.ves)-
I have spent no less than 12 hours trying to solve this today.
It started occuring since upgrading premiere CC to the latest version (12.2). I had various issues with this before I'd even noticed the encore issue so I rolled it back to 12.1.
Now the files from my h,264 bluray preset (5.1 sound using surcode, level 4.1, 21mbps bitrate, 1080p25) throw up this error.
I have tried:
- restarting
-reinstalling encore
- exporting new files with varying different paramaters changed. For example I exported a small section of a timeline in my normal preset and it errored. I changed to level 4.1 to 4.0 and exported it. it worked! I then exported all of the files required for my bluray in that same style level 4.0 set, however it still errored.
All i can get to work is to export a stereo mp4 file but I'd like it in 5.1
In fact, I've forgotten everything I've tried so i can't be of much help but if you can think of it, chances are I've tried it.
I'm now installing Encore CS6 (I was on CS5) to see if that works. If it does, great, but there is SOMETHING in the premiere 12.2 update that causes encore HELL. Do not update if you use Encore cs5.
Adobe Encore and Windows 10
I chat with customer support and got refer to this forum to post my issue about Adobe Encore which can no longer be activated. I have Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, PageMaker and other Adobe products including Encore. He said that by posting here, Adobe expert may help me getting the link to download Encore CS4 which I read was being provided to other customer. I got a new Windows 10 system and would like continue using Encore and accept more projects so I can save in order to upgrade to latest versions. Right now I got no budget for this upgrade. Can anyone help me on this?

ADOBE ENCORE, WHAT A PAIN
I have a client that wants a copy of the story on regular a dvd. I was following the tutorial to do it with Premiere Pro and then AME but then it requested Adobe Encore to do it. Adobe Encore is not included anymore, it says you should downloaded as part of CS6. I did and immediately it warned me about conflicts with a lot of my CC 2018 and 2019 programs. It wanted me to get out of Premiere Pro, Adobe link, Photoshop server something etc. I canceled out of it. It has to be a easier way to do this. Is Encore somewhere in Premiere Pro CC? I have a wav file and a M2V file but I need Encore to create a simple DVD?
Thanks
Can a Professional Quality DVD/Blu-ray be Authored in Encore?
Hi there,
I need to self-manufacture commercial DVDs and Blu-rays for a documentary that I have made. I am intending to do this with Premiere and Encore. Before I start learning all that is required, please can anyone confirm if it is actually possible to create commercial quality DVD/Blu-rays (with menus, choice of 5.1/stereo, dual layer) with Premiere and Encore or if I will need additional software or will have to use a professional service?
Many thanks
Need ENCORE - Premiere Pro CS6 will not open after Installing from CC
We need to get ENCORE loaded to author DVD and BluRay. So we downloaded Premiere Pro CS6 from CC. After the install, Premiere Pro CS6 will not open. ENCORE will open briefly and then immediately crashes.
We are running a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017) 10.14.3
Will someone pleases help with this issue?
Can't build a DVD anymore in Adobe Encore
I was using Encore for the past few weeks to download a film I made. It appeared to work just fine; I insert a blank disc, wait for it to load up, and then select to build.
But now I try to make more dvds and repeat the same steps but after inserting a blank disc the build button is still not able to be clicked on.. I have tried multiple different solutions, such as restarting the program, the computer, and or just makng a new project in Encore but it will not work..
Please can someone help me find a solution..

Encore OSStatus Error = -5000
Hi folks. Encore is suddenly giving me a weird message when I'm trying to burn a DVD:
OSStatus Error = -5000
I also see this message when I try to create a new project.
Got any advice?
Thanks,
Russ
What are you using instead of Encore?
Just noticed that Encore/CS6 is no longer available for download. This really sucks because I have used it for many years and have some custom templates for quick turn-arounds.
The old help page: How to download and install Adobe Encore CS6
What are you using to create your menus and ISO's?
