I set and named chapter markers in a Premiere Pro CC project, but when I export for Encore using Adobe Media Encoder (as H.264 Blu-Ray) None of my chapter markers are showing up. Is there a trick or a setting to make these show up? I can't add the markers in Encore. Too complex of a project. I need to see the edits in Premiere, and even then it took a while. Project takes 22 hours to render, so I definitely want to get it right on the next pass. Any help would be appreciated.
How do I get chapter markers from Premiere Pro CC to show up in Encore CS6? I'm exporting as H.264 Blu-Ray
NTSC/PAL gives error [..\..\src\AMEPresetProber.cpp-270]
Can´t open new or established project in PAL without receiving this code. I can´t change preset NTSC to PAL. Violation with blue-ray is another error that comes up.
I have reinstalled win 8.1 since I thought it had something to do with win10 that I upgaded to. But it´s still the same problem. Right now I feel like through CS6 away and change to AVID or some editing software where you at least can talk on the phone with someone.
Anyway, I still hope that there might be someone out there that can help me with this issue.

Import closed caption into Encore CC2017
Hello Forum,
I created a .scc file in Premiere CC2017, so far no problem.
I imported my premiere video project into Encore
When I ALT-click on the video in the timeline of my encore project, I get the "properties window" of the video file but there is no "button" to import the .scc file ?
I contacted adobe CC2017 support, and they said they don't support that kind of questions, nor chat nor phone.
Input anyone ?
Thanks
Files created in PR CS 2017 :
Timeline window in ENCORE CS 2017 :
and finally the "video properties window" where I should find a "button' to import the closed caption file.
This is what I get :
and that's what I should get ???
Thanks in advance,
Laurent

Blu-ray image build fails with LPCM error
hello,
Using CS6 Encore
I have created H.264 files (.264, .264.Stereo1) for a 1:04hr sequence using Matrox
- 1920x1080p 23.98fps
- both 27.0 and 30.0 target data rate, Constant Bit Rate CABAC, H.264 level of 4.1
and when I try to build a Bluray image using them, the build fails with the message:
Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Bits per Sample of LPCM is illegal. 32"
I first got this error using target data rate of 30 (default) - then I dropped it to 27.0 and still got the error.
I then tested with a 1min H.264 file created using the same above settings and the image was successfully created.
In CS5.5, when I had similar errors, I dropped the target data rate to 27.0/27.1 and the build would complete without errors.
I can't find any discussion of the above error on the web or on these forums - perhaps my search terms were not good.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I was able to successfully build another 1hr blu-ray image with default settings (target data rate 30) a few days back.
In both successful and unsuccessful cases, the source sequence is a 1920x1080i 29.97fps Matrox AVI file, which I convert to 1920x1080p 23.98 fps in AME using Matrox to create the .264/.264.Stereo1 files, which I then import into CS6 Encore and create the image.
Encore CS5.5 was a pain in that it would hang on source files larger than 2GB - I came across a Adobe forum/support thread suggesting using the workaround of importing to the Encore timeline files <= 2GB in size.

Adobe Encore Video Background on Main Menu
Hey guys, I am currently working on creating my main menu for a DVD i am creating inside of Adobe Encore.
The problem I am having is I have the main menu created in Photoshop and all the buttons work perfectly, however when I try to make the a video play in the background it won't play. The video will only play when I have all my layers in Photoshop HIDDEN. I have made sure I have no solid backgrounds in the Photoshop document that would cover up the background video and as I said before, the background video plays perfectly only when all the layers inside Photoshop are invisible.
I have already tried creating new menus and new photoshop documents and no luck. Also, I have already rendered out the video under File > Render > Motion Menus and no luck!
It's getting frustrating and can't seem to be able to fix this. Anyone have any troubleshooting tips?
*** Update, I tried rendering the motion background from the preview DVD window and it is not playing, however, I have set a black background so that the video only plays on the left side of the stripper pole; yet now all my top layers seem to be see-through because i can see the entire video in the background, any ideas why this could be? I will attach 3rd screenshot.
DVD is bad quality but original video isn't
So I've been trying to make a DVD in Encore CS6 with menus and each time the final product has really bad quality. Either it looks a bit blurry or weird lines appear around edges during camera movements.
The video I want to put on is just over an hour and was edited together in Premiere Pro CC. The sequence settings were at 1920x1080 and 30 fps. Obviously the file format for DVDs is different but I've made a DVD before with a sequence in Premiere Pro CS6 at 1920x1080 (might have been 1280x720 can't remember) and at 25 fps and the DVD was fine.
Because Premiere CC doesn't support Adobe Dynamic Link to Encore I first rendered to an MP4 in the codec H.264 at 30 fps then just imported the MP4 into encore. The preview looked fine but when it rendered and burnt to DVD weird lines appeared around the edges of what was filmed and the video was constantly bouncing up and down. I'm making the DVD Pal btw.
I then tried several times to render from Premiere to an MPEG 2 DVD with various different settings at different frame rates and all had either the weird lines or were just poor quality compared to the MP4 and the original videos that went into the Premiere sequence.
Why is this happening? I've even tried putting the MP4 in Premiere Pro CS6 with the same sequence settings that worked with the previous DVD I made and that still didn't work.
The MP4 is the only one that looks ok. All of the times I rendered to MPEG 2 they looked bad quality before I even put them into encore.
I really appreciate any help.
Thanks
Adobe Encore Crash
Hello. First time post.
I've recently updated all my adobe cc products to 2018. I'm also running the latest version of Mac OS.
Since my update to 2018, I'm unable to open Encore. As I need to burn a dvd this is very important to me.
Why is Encore crashing upon it opening? Still crashing. Nothing Happens. See? I've uploaded a video.
Encore OSStatus Error = -47
Trying to burn a DVD with menu's it is about 6gb on a dual layer dvd. i keep getting this error. If i burn just one of the files it works. just not when i add sub menus
Burning Blu-Ray discs with Encore CS6
I had another forum thread going with this topic but it was getting to be quite long and was not giving me the answers I was looking for so I thought I would try starting a new discussion.
Before you reply to this question, please understand that while I have dabbled off and on (mostly off) with simple video editing with Premirere Pro for nearly 10 years, I still consider myself a 'beginner' so if you want to respond, please use language that a beginner can understand. For instance; " Create an iso image" is WAYover my head! I have no idea what that means or how to do it.
I'm currently using Premiere Pro CC 2017 . I've already done all of the editing and now just need to burn the 1 1/2 hour sequence onto a Blu-ray disc that my client can play on a home Blu-ray player. I'm using a PC with Windows 7 and I do have a Blu-ray burner. I have also downloaded Encore CS6.
Here are my questions:
1. Exactly what Format and Preset settings should I use in the Export section of Premiere 2017 to create the files needed to author a Blu-ray disc (NTSC 1080)? 1080i or 1080p? Is frame rate critical (the sequence was edited at a frame rate of 29.97 but it's OK if the output is 23.97 fps)? There will be no menus and the quality should be good but doesn't 'have' to be broadcast quality. As long as it plays in my client's home Blu-Ray player without any problem. It's fine if it just starts playing as soon as they insert the disc. I want to keep this as simple as possible!
2. I have tried Exporting the sequence several times with different settings and I've noticed that Premiere creates 4 different files; MP4, XMP, XMPSES and WAV. Are all 4 needed to author the Blu-Ray or just certain ones? Which ones?
3. I'm aware that there is no longer a dynamic link between Premiere 2017 and Encore CS6. Therefore; exactly how do I import the files (and which files?) into Encore CS6 and then what are the steps to authoring a Blu-ray disc?
If you don't have the time or patience to give a complete and thorough responce, or can't stand dealing with 'beginners', then please don't bother. I've been struggling with this for weeks now and I just want to get 'er done as simply as possible!
Big thanks to everyone who has helped or tried to help me with this dilemma! I really do appreciate all the good will!

bluray burn problem
I just upgraded to CS6. I have never had this problem before. I keep trying to burn a Bluray using Encore CS6, however, i keep getting this menssage after the program tries to burn the Disc: "Bluray Error: "device error", Code: "3", Note "CreateStcSequence:Fail to write M2S file""
Encore will burn the 9.57gb of 25.gb to disc and then display the aove message all the equiment is new so before i upgrade CS6 encore is working I have to reinstaltion again my adove premier again ????
How do I prohibit skipping a chapter in Encore CS6?
Background: I'm used to authoring in Scenarist, so I am used to certain functions, like NOPS.
What I am working on is a concert DVD. My usual flow is PG entry goes to an FBI copyright warning. This is NOP'ed for a 10 second display. The NOP prevents the user from skipping or fast forwarding. This links to our company logo animation, which is also NOP'ed. Then the Title Menu appears, which links to several things like previews and a quick system calibration video. The last link goes to the Root Menu.
Now, I'm trying to set the NOP in the Flowchart. The Operations: All permitted... Set.. is where I think this is done in Encore, but when I press the Set button, nothing happens--no menu of options on how I want this object to be treated when it executes appears. Bug? Or did I skip some prerequisite step earlier in the process?
I'm trying to see if I can achieve a faster workflow in Encore, being it's integrated with the rest of the Adobe suite and Scenarist is not.
Encore and Transcoding
I have a couple of questions about using Encore to make BluRay discs (Macbook Pro, OS Mavericks). If anyone has any answers or insights, thanks in advance! One question is, I created a Bluray project about a month ago and now need to burn out a few more BluRay discs. But the project shows the media not transcoded. It took over 24 hours to transcode the media (last month), so trying to avoid that now. Where does the Encode store the transcoded files? I've searched in the cache file (for this project) and in my Library folder (App Support/Adobe/Common), but I can't find anything that looks like the transcoded files. Nor do I see a way to relink any transcoded files.
The second question: I initially transcoded my BluRay files in Apple Compressor, but when I imported those files into Encode, they were marked as not transcoded. So I ended up importing the original ProRes file and letting Encore make the transcode (which as mentioned above, took over 24 hours). But I'm wondering, why Encore does not read the BluRay speced files as transcoded?
Thanks again for any help, Alice

Change from NTSC to PAL
I've made a video DVD (wide screen) with Premiere and Encore. I want to make a version for Europe, and therefore change to PAL (and therefore change the pixel dimensions). For some reason I can't find how to do this NTSC dropdown is greyed out, and I can't find presets for PAL with the change in dimensions. Do I have to make this change in Premiere or in Encore, and can you please tell me precisely where this setting is.
Perhaps the problem is that my computer's DVD Burner won't burn a PAL disk?
Thanks

all of the timelines in my project and another button wich will disable all of the subtitles.
NOTIFICATION : I have only one track of subtitles for each video.
how can I create that kind of a bottun?

CS6 Encore most Library Files Missing
Have Disc Version of CS6 Production Premium. When opening Encore there are only a couple menu templates in Library and no Buttons, Shapes, Text or Backgrounds. Tried downloading library from http://goo.gl.CZuni and this did not correct. Am I supposed to delete files prior to download or what's going on?
Tks in advance....
Blu-Ray Error: "Invalid Duration", Code: "13"
Hello everyone! Adobe encore throws me this error when attempting to do a "build":
Blu-Ray Error: "Invalid Duration", Code: "13", Note: Errors in some PGs: End time of preceding display set is too close to the start time of succeeding display set, see trace log for more information.
I included an image:
I understand this is a subtitle error, it sounds it is related with the 5 frame gap that must be between Subtitles. When I originally imported the subtitles, a warning symbol appeared in the subtitle track, and where the gaps where less than 5 frames between each subtitle, red marking appeared. I fixed this automatically, and some manual fixing was required. No more red markings are visible, and as you can see in the image, the warning symbol is no longer present, letting me know that the 5 frame gap requisite is met. So why is this error happening? Is there something I am missing? A fix would be appreciated. If no fix is available, could somebody tell me how to see the trace log as stated by Encores error message? Thank you.
