Mounting CD/DVD image (*.ISO file) under Windows 7

Does Encore, or any other prgram in the CS5 suite, have the ability to mount an ISO file as a CD or DVD under Windows 7?

Transcoding issues

I've encoded my feature in Media Encoder for 1080 23.98p h.264 blu-ray. I add it to a new timeline in Encore. For some reason I still have to transcode it, so I hit transcode now. Although the prgress bar is empty and I've been away for about a half hour, it still sits as pending. And what does pending (100%) mean in the properties blu-ray transcode status panel. A lot of this program seems unintuitive. What's the point of compressing for blu-ray in Encoder only to have Encore need to transcode it again? I have no clue why I can't build this blu-ray already. It's blocking me because it says it needs to be transcoded and the m4v file is still "pending," but transcode status is "pending (100%)." What the ____ does that mean?

Best export settings for blu-ray.

I'm in the process of making a blu-ray that includes a slideshow done in AE. I have several questions regarding export settings that I can't seem to find a solid answer for anywhere online. I want the quality to look excellent once on the blu-ray. I would like to export 60fps if that would look any better than 30/24fps (now or in the future, and if all current HD-TVs would be compatible). I would like to know how many bits per channeI should choose in color settings. I would also like to know if I should disable the layer cache and ignore sequence rendering errors in the 'secret' preferences section. I just watched a tutorial that said to change the bits per channel to 16, and enable those two 'secret' preferences, but the person giving the tutorial didn't explain what they do.

One problem I'm currently having when exporting (a .mov file with PNG compression) is very strange audio (that I can't even notice until I convert the video to something like h.264, and can preview it), and it just started doing this out of nowhere. I exported my project in a Quicktime format using PNG compression to have a 'lossless' quality file without it taking up half my hard drive. From what I've read this is the correct way to export from AE. Then I read that I should take that file and convert it using Media Encoder for whatever resolution/format that I need. What would be the best format to convert to for Blu-Ray using AME?

I am fairly new to AE, but have a good deal of experience with Premiere. I've also been working on PC's since the mid 80s so you can respond in technical jargon if need be and I should be able to follow anything you explain (for the most part).

Ultimately I would like to know the best settings to export from AE and Premiere (for a few other videos), as well as the the best formats to (use with a final export to Blu-Ray in mind). I will not be needing this for the web, dvd, or PC at all (ever). I would also like to know what settings I should use to export a small 'preview' of my project. What I'm trying to do is export at like half the resolution, quickly, and a really small file size, just so I can see what my project looks like so far. I would just use the preview window in AE to do this but don't have a ton of ram and it also doesn't play back audio.

I offer my appreciation in advance for answering this to the best of your ability and know that anyone else trying to do this same thing, which I would imagine will eventually be thousands or millions, will greatly appreciate it too. Thanks and I look forward to hearing everyones input.

Burning Blu-Ray discs with Encore CS6

I had another forum thread going with this topic but it was getting to be quite long and was not giving me the answers I was looking for so I thought I would try starting a new discussion.

Before you reply to this question, please understand that while I have dabbled off and on (mostly off) with simple video editing with Premirere Pro for nearly 10 years, I still consider myself a 'beginner' so if you want to respond, please use language that a beginner can understand.  For instance; " Create an iso image" is WAYover my head!  I have no idea what that means or how to do it.

I'm currently using Premiere Pro CC 2017 . I've already done all of the editing and now just need to burn the 1 1/2 hour sequence onto a Blu-ray disc that my client can play on a home Blu-ray player. I'm using a PC with Windows 7 and I do have a Blu-ray burner.  I have also downloaded Encore CS6.

Here are my questions:

1.  Exactly what Format and Preset settings should I use in the Export section of Premiere 2017 to create the files needed to author a Blu-ray disc (NTSC 1080)?  1080i or 1080p?  Is frame rate critical (the sequence was edited at a frame rate of 29.97 but it's OK if the output is 23.97 fps)?  There will be no menus and the quality should be good but doesn't 'have' to be broadcast quality.  As long as it plays in my client's home Blu-Ray player without any problem.  It's fine if it just starts playing as soon as they insert the disc.  I want to keep this as simple as possible!

2.  I have tried Exporting the sequence several times with different settings and I've noticed that Premiere creates 4 different files; MP4, XMP, XMPSES and WAV.  Are all 4 needed to author the Blu-Ray or just certain ones?  Which ones?

3.  I'm aware that there is no longer a dynamic link between Premiere 2017 and Encore CS6.  Therefore; exactly how do I import the files (and which files?) into Encore CS6 and then what are the steps to authoring a Blu-ray disc?

If you don't have the time or patience to give a complete and thorough responce, or can't stand dealing with 'beginners', then please don't bother.  I've been struggling with this for weeks now and I just want to get 'er done as simply as possible!

Big thanks to everyone who has helped or tried to help me with this dilemma!  I really do appreciate all the good will!

Blu-ray video menus

I'm trying to create my menu system for my Blu-ray disk using 3, 1 min clips from the actual video.  The actual video turns out crisp and clear, but the menus when burnt to the blu_ray are fuzzy.  The faces and Text are fuzzy.  Look really bad, but when you play the video the video is crisp and clear.  Anyone have this problem before?  I use the same codec H.264 blu_ray for both the menu clips and video when exporting them to encore.  In Encore I have project settings set to maximum audio/video bitrate 40.0 Mbps, codec H.264. The menus look very pixelated.  If any one has any suggestion I'm all ears. I know it got to be a simple fix, something I'm not setting correct.

Slideshow Render Settings

Can anyone advise me where the render settings are for slideshows ?!?!?

I have imported photos of difference sizes (same photos omptised at different dpi) into my bluray project and each time I render the slideshow it always comes out at the same size.

As they are stills with a simple pan and disolve transition I want to lower the bit rate to save room on the disc... can this be done ?

Build time on Encore CS6

I dynamic-linked from Premiere Pro CS6 to Encore CS6, only a 2.7GB file and going to standard DVD. Maxed out Mac, mulitple fast drives and started the build about 2 1/2 hours ago. It is about ten per cent done. Wow, what a screamer!  Reminds me of when I ran Premiere 4.2, using a Media 100 board, a super fast RAID system:  took five hours to render a five minute clip. Maybe this build will be ready by the time I get to NAB on Tuesday?  Oh wait, they might have a new upgrade by then.

Converted (.SRT -> Encore Subtitle text script) never Sync.

Hi all,

I've searched for two days on the web but still no answer.

I'm making a BluRay Disc of a collection of TV Show episodes. I add these episodes as an .m4v file into Encore, which works great. These videos will be transcoded the the appropriat format at the end.

The only problem I encounter is the subtitles: I have an .srt file which runs perfectly sync with the .m4v video file (when I just play it in i.e. VLC, so no Adobe Encore is used)

But when I open the .srt file in a Subtile Editor (Subtitle Workshop, Subtitle Edit, Jubler (MAC) ) and hit ' Save As' Adobe Encore Text Script and import it in Adobe Encore, it starts of as a good sync in the first few seconds of the TV Show episode, but is way out of sync at the end of the episodes... (Sounds like me as an FPS problem?)

I've tried everything, from all different types of FPS output of the subtitle file, to all different project FPS settings.

My main project is 23,976FPS BluRay NTSC, my VIDEOFILE.m4v is 23,976FPS and my subtitles are 23,976FPS.

I really hope someone can help me out here.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Christiaan.

Encore - Exportdatei

Hallo!

Ich mache gerade mein erstes Projekt in Encore.

Nun meine Fragen:

???

was muss ich tun?

Wählen Sie „Datei“ > „Adobe Dynamic Link“ > „An Encore senden“.
dies geht aber in premiere pro cc anscheinend nicht.

Danke für eure Unterstützung.

How do I make interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion?

So, adobe doesn't support Encore anymore which means I can't use dynamic link to AE to create interactive DVD/Blu-Ray menus with motion.... or can I? Is there something I'm doing wrong? While in Encore, I go to dynamic link and boom, dynamic link to AE is not highlighted. If I can't make an interactive menu with motion using adobe, then what can I use? This is causing a major problem for me and my clients. (if i over looked the answer to this in another post, my apologies)

I'm producing a DVD in 16:9 format. I edited everything in 16:9, exported everything as 16:9 in Encore it previews at 16:9, everything is 16:9 but when I burn the DVD it seems that Encore has put a black strip either side, over the video and menus to create a 4:3 ratio!!!!! The image hasn't been squashed but its missing the sides...HELP PLEASE.

Audio Levels higher on DVD

I always have the same issue when building my dvds with Encore. On the computer project it sounds perfect but once it's burned into a DVD, it sounds way too loud on my TV. It appears that Encore raises the audio level a lot when exporting. Anyone else have the same issue?

Encore not accepting Premiere Pro's chapters

$

I have been using Encore with Premiere Pro CC 2017 since the upgrade. Recently I built a new computer and now I cannot seem to get my chapter markers to move from Premiere Pro to Encore when I import the exported files.

When I chatted with Adobe they said that Premiere Pro CC 2017 does not work with Encore, but if that is the case then how has it been working for the last 7 months? (CC 2017 came out in Nov. 2016 and I have used it up to May 2017) However the exported .wav and .mpeg files are imported to Encore just fine.

Super confused, turning to here as a last ditch effort. Please help.

Flash DVD... Motion menus are coming out black

I have previously used the flash output in Encore in CS3 and CS4. First time using it in CS5. I like to use video clips as menu backgrounds and have done it many times before. I link both the video and the audio to the menu in the motion properties window. In CS5, it appears that this function works for DVDs, but not for Flash. When I do the Flash export, the menus are just a black screen with the audio I linked to.

Encore Menu Templates and Presets

I have Encore CS6 Installed and it is working (as far as I can tell)..  There are no menu templates or presets available.  Is there a way to find these?  Is there a CC upgrade for Encore?

In addition to that fun, I cannot get a DVD to burn with the correct aspect ration.  I want an SD DVD to play the same frame as an HD DVD?  Arg...

Uninstall Premiere Pro CS6 and keep Encore

I tried to follow the steps to install Premiere Pro CS6 to get Encore and then uninstall Premiere Pro. Unfortunately, it uninstalled Encore as well and never prompted me to specify what to uninstall. Did this change in the 2015 CC app? It would be great to just have the option to install Encore by itself instead of going 3 versions back.

DDP files for DVD replication

$

Are people exporting DDP files from Encore to send to replication houses? I don't see much recent discussion on this?

Encore will export DDP files to a hard-drive. Can these then just be copied onto a DVD-R as data?

how to check the DDP file DVD before sending it off to have 1000 copies replicated?

Any down side? It sounds like a good system (?)

Thanks for any tips or discussion -
