Hi guys,  I have bought and installed CS5.5 Production Premium on a subscription basis
I have projects in Premierre Pro 5.5  but when i send to Encore i get registration screen so  type in my registration number

I get the following error message
"Encore CS5.1  cannot run in non royalty serialized mode
The application needs to be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number"

Registration is legitamte for Premierre, Photoshop AE etc but I cant get Encore to run.

Needless to say this is  frustrating as have got clients waitng for DVD's

Would there be some one who can tell me what to do please?
I have tried Adobe contacts and  NZ help numbers (go on hold for an hour then disconnects)

Tried Australian help line but no better,  no response from Adobe Pacific support email as yet,

so posting this here as i am not getting answers anywhere else.

Tried online email and via Adobe help on web but keep getting message "sorry cannot process your request"

Also have tried to Log in via my Adobe account  and download Library content for Encore but get message that  web links are no longer active?

As an extra does someone  know where to get Encore Libraries ~ Im assuming that they should be allowed for download with the Subscription based programe

Help would be much appreciated   Please

Motion Menu - video thumbnail change?

$

I have a load of motion menus on a Blu-Ray project which play part of the scene that they link to. I was wondering if it was possible to change just one of the video thumbnail previews to another video? I can't seem to find any setting or anything online about it. I know you can choose any video for the menu background video, but this is for one of the scene selection thumbnails.

Here's a picture:

Any help appreciated! Thank you

Burning to image file nightmare

Hi Guys

I'm trying to burn a 1hr 6sec project as an ISO image file. My movie file is 4GB.

I have divided this movie into 18 chapters which I linked correctly. There are no errors when check the project for errors. My project has NO sub titles - just the video and audio.

My first sub menu (scene selections) is named scenes 01-06, and this is where the problem lies!

When I burn the image file I get the message like "the sub-title or subpicture is too complex to be encoded". I get the same message when I try to burn to a Verbatim DVD+RW. This message is driving me nuts. I waited over 4 hours in Premiere Pro to have the project rendered, now I cannot do a simple burn in encore.

I made all my menus to be motion menus, animated buttons, and looped forever, for 15secs. I previewed my project and everything looks OK.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards

Adobe Encore - Completely Useless for Bluray

$

Hello,

I'd just like to post my experiences for creating a blu-ray disc with Adobe Encore... actually I've been unable to create a proper bluray with this useless program.

Here's what happens:

Adobe Encore CS3: Error --- "Out of Memory"   -- The bluray will not even compile.

Adobe Encore CS4:  The project compiles into an iso.  The main menu begins to loop at a *1 second* interval, even though I set it to loop every 45 seconds.  Within this 1 second, obviously you can't access any items in the menu.

Adobe Encore CS5:  The project compiles into an iso.  The main menu works fine, however, when I try to access two items in the menu... they don't work at all.  Also my first play video is completely black.

I'd just like to know, isn't Adobe ashamed to release such useless programs for 3 generations without bug fixes?  Programs which cost a lot of money.

I have to admit, Encore did work fine for my dvd projects, but maybe it should stick to being just a dvd authoring program.

After a week of trying to work out my bluray with these programs, I have to start looking for alternatives.

Thanks to the fine Adobe engineering team for releasing this trash for generations straight.

Encore CS 6 Won't Open Up???? "Non Royalty Serialized Mode?????

I bought Premiere Pro CS 6  and that program works fine. Encore does not open. All it says is:

"Adobe Encore CS6 cannot run in non-royalty serialized mode. The application needs to be serialized with a royalty bearing serial number."

How can I get this program to open up so I can use it?

Thanks in advance.

I have also attached a screenshot for you to see.

Burned DVD plays in computers, but does not play in DVD players

I found a discussion of a similar problem from back in 2010, but in that thread the only reply was suggested burning at 1x and trying different media. There was no further correspondence so I can't tell if that suggestion resolved the issue. I tried burning again at 1x and using different media (we're using Verbatim) without success, so I ask again.

The problem is with menu navigation in DVD.

The main menu has the probelem. It has four buttons arranged in a 2x2 square that send viewers to 4 submenus. Each submenu has three buttons - play without subtitles, play with subtitles, return to main menu.

In any computer (we've tried it in 8: MACs and PCs) navigation of the main menu works perfectly using the mouse (although not the up/down left/right buttons on the keyboard... is THAT normal?).

But in the four DVD players in which we've tried it we cannot navigate to the button on the lower right using the buttons on their remote controls, although the other three buttons work just fine. This happens in our ancient $29 DVD player, in our brand new $1,000 blu-ray player and in everything in between.

I've looked at the programing and cannot find any difference between the buttons that work and the one that doesn't. The design preview perfectly and to add confusion a previous version of this disc (I had to link one timeline to new media) plays perfectly in any player.

I'm stumped. I'd be panicked except for the fact that, post sign-off, the client has decided to make just one more little change in the video, so I have another couple of days.

Thanks, JP

Error occurs when burning to BD-R DL disc in Encore

Whenever using an expensive Sony BD-RE DL I have no problem burning a project. But whenever I try the Verbatim BD-R DL they always produce this error while the project is importing and not yet burning. The error is: Blue Ray Error:"device not Ready", Code: "3",Note: AS_StorageError = -97060. Has anyone seen this before?

No Audio in "Adobe Dynamic Link" to Encore

I have a project in Premiere Pro CS5 that I have used "Adobe Dynamic Link" to bring the project over to Encore CS5.  The project comes over and I can see both the video and audio tracks.  The problem is that when I play the timeline the video plays but the audio does not play.  The same thing happens in Preview, video but no audio.  Both the video and audio play correctly in Premiere Pro CS5 before I bring the project over.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Best export settings for blu-ray.

I'm in the process of making a blu-ray that includes a slideshow done in AE. I have several questions regarding export settings that I can't seem to find a solid answer for anywhere online. I want the quality to look excellent once on the blu-ray. I would like to export 60fps if that would look any better than 30/24fps (now or in the future, and if all current HD-TVs would be compatible). I would like to know how many bits per channeI should choose in color settings. I would also like to know if I should disable the layer cache and ignore sequence rendering errors in the 'secret' preferences section. I just watched a tutorial that said to change the bits per channel to 16, and enable those two 'secret' preferences, but the person giving the tutorial didn't explain what they do.

One problem I'm currently having when exporting (a .mov file with PNG compression) is very strange audio (that I can't even notice until I convert the video to something like h.264, and can preview it), and it just started doing this out of nowhere. I exported my project in a Quicktime format using PNG compression to have a 'lossless' quality file without it taking up half my hard drive. From what I've read this is the correct way to export from AE. Then I read that I should take that file and convert it using Media Encoder for whatever resolution/format that I need. What would be the best format to convert to for Blu-Ray using AME?

I am fairly new to AE, but have a good deal of experience with Premiere. I've also been working on PC's since the mid 80s so you can respond in technical jargon if need be and I should be able to follow anything you explain (for the most part).

Ultimately I would like to know the best settings to export from AE and Premiere (for a few other videos), as well as the the best formats to (use with a final export to Blu-Ray in mind). I will not be needing this for the web, dvd, or PC at all (ever). I would also like to know what settings I should use to export a small 'preview' of my project. What I'm trying to do is export at like half the resolution, quickly, and a really small file size, just so I can see what my project looks like so far. I would just use the preview window in AE to do this but don't have a ton of ram and it also doesn't play back audio.

I offer my appreciation in advance for answering this to the best of your ability and know that anyone else trying to do this same thing, which I would imagine will eventually be thousands or millions, will greatly appreciate it too. Thanks and I look forward to hearing everyones input.

Random red frames inserted into my mpg's!

I'm using Encore 2.0 and just finished transcoding a film in Premiere 2.0. The outputted MPEG-DVD looks fine, so I import it into Encore, and when I'm setting the chapter points, I notice some frames flash neon red. I'm assuming it's something to do with bad frames? No idea why it does this because if I watch the film say in Windows Media Player, no red frames. But once it's in Encore 2.0 it inserts this corruption.

My setup: Windows xp pro, AMD Anthlon 3800+ Dual Core, 1Gig RAM, screen, mouse, keyboard. Anyone else have this problem?

Where is Encore with the Creative Cloud? It is not in the list of 'apps' to download.

As the subject says, there is no link in my App manager at all for Encore.  I thought it was a part of the CC or am I mistaken.  Thanks.

BD menu with transitions between pages?

$

Hello,

Can someone tell me if A) it is possible to have a transition video as I navigate from one page to another in a multiple page menu. and B) If it is posible to have a transition video between pages, is there some documentation somewhere that would help guide me through the creation process?

For example, Let's say I have a 21 second video for my menus. On page one I want the video to loop from the 5 second point to the 10 second point. Then if I select page 2 the video should play from 10 seconds to 11 seconds and then loop from 11 seconds to 21 seconds. If I select the first page Encore would play the video from 21 seconds to 22 seconds then loop from 5 seconds to 10 seconds.

If this is possible, or if there is a different way to accomplish this please let me know.

Thanks,

Lou

DVD Frame Rates

$

I shoot all my footage in HD 23.976 on Canon 7D cameras. I edit my projects in Premiere Pro CS6 and export them as H.264 for BluRay Premiere template. I create a new project in Encore and import my footage as a timeline. For as long as I have used Encore CS6 my Bluray Discs come looking beautiful, frame rate and all. However, whenever I burn my project to DVD Encore changes the frame rate from 23.976 to 29.97? The difference is noticeable. The footage goes from looking cinematic on the BluRay to a cheap soap opera on DVD. I didn't have this problem with CS5.5 and I don't know how to fix this. Is there a setting I can change in Encore so I can retain my 24fps frame rate? I have asked this question in a few other forums in the past few months but no one has provided me with a suitable solution. Can anyone help me out please? Thank You.

Missing Encore CS6 Templates with Creative Cloud

I just installed everything from CS6 via the Creative Cloud. Opening up Encore CS6, I don't see any contents in the Library panel. Its location is set to /Applications/Adobe Encore CS6/Library, a directory which does not exist.

Did I miss a step? How can I get the built-in templates?

This is running under Mac OS X Lion.

Blu-ray build: no video (solid red, green, etc image)

Hey everyone,

If this problem has already been addressed, could someone please point me in the right direction? I searched and didn't find anything similar, but wasn't too sure what to search for.

My problem: Everytime I build a blu-ray project in Encore, I am getting the same result; the video will play (according to the progress bar on the player), but the image is always a solid color, sometimes it's red, green, tan, black, apparently just random, but always the same color throughout the entire video.

I have tried so many different things at this point, I'm at a loss for how to proceed further. I've tried this with at least three different projects, all of which were created in Premiere. I have attempted both the dynamic link from Premiere to Encore and exporting the video first and importing into Encore later. I have tried transcoding as .264 and MPEG2 (I am not very knowledgeable about the settings, so I use the defaults). I have tried building the project in Encore as a blu-ray folder and as an ISO. I have burned to discs and played just the digital files on my PC.

The video always plays fine up until after it is exported from Encore (that is, it previews fine in Premiere, exported video from Premiere plays fine in players like VLC, and the video previews fine in Encore). And I have no trouble building DVDs in Encore with the same video, timeline, and all that jazz.

The only thing I haven't done yet is gone to the trouble of trying to reinstall Encore, which will be my next step if noone here has any suggestions. I am running CS6 with all recent updates. I have been testing the blu-ray playback in PowerDVD and a PS3.

Like I mentioned above, I'm not very proficient in video. If I left out important details, just let me know. Thanks in advance for any help!

Encore CS6 (or something) broken?

$

Ugh, I am crushed right now, a week's worth of work for nothing.

Anyway, enough about me.  CS5 user here, had no issues with it except for that VBR 2 Pass bug and Encore CS5 (where encoding at h264 Blu-ray at VBR 2-Pass then bringing the m4v file into Encore, Encore would want to transcode it even though it's Blu-ray legal).

So I downloaded the trial for Premiere Pro CS6, Media Encoder CS6 and Encore CS6.

Worked on an entire project where I encoded ten hours of video at h264 Blu-ray, VBR 2 Pass, 26Mbps, Maximum Render Quality.

Brought the resulting m4v files into Encore CS6 which stated "Don't Transcode".  Great I thought, VBR 2 Pass bug fixed.  So I went ahead and created my menus in Photoshop, brought them in, set chapter points, etc., etc. then built out six Blu-rays from six projects to folders.

Burned the first and tested it, everything works fine except for one menu item.  When you select it the disc kind of freezes but will respond to hitting the title button (which brings you back to the main menu).  Playing the chapter before the chapter that freezes the video will play fine then just stop.  The chapter afterwards plays just fine.

Thought it might be a bad burn so I tried it again, same thing.  Thought it might be a problem with the encode/build so I tried another project I authored in this fashion and in this build four or five of the chapters have this freezing issue.

Now I don't know what to do.  Is the error in my Premiere Pro CS6 project?  Is it Media Encoder CS6 (VBR 2 Pass)?  Is it Encore CS6?

I honestly don't know where to begin but to say I am frustrated would be a massive understatement.

I'm going to try encoding at VBR 1 Pass to start I guess.  If that doesn't work, I'll have to start all my projects from scratch using CS5.

Anyone else having these kinds of issues?

PGC error when burning in Encore CS3 ... help

I've looked and can not find any one else with exactly this problem. I recently upgraded to Adobe Creative Suite 3 and can not get a DVD to burn. The project checks fine, the files transcode without difficulty but during the burning process, I very quickly get a PGC "file name" error.

I have a Sony Pentium 4, 2 GHz, with 1.21 G of RAM, and plenty (30 G) free on my hard drive. I have a 16X Memorex DVD burner which is probably 6 months old, but up until now has worked great. I've tried several different brands of DVD-R media and same problem.

I'd describe myself as an advanced amateur at video making. I taught myself on Nova's Video Explosion and burned 100's of dvd's on the Sonic's My DVD program over the past 5 years. Actually that system worked well, but I'd outgrown it. I downloaded Encore 2.0 free 30 day trial and loved it. I'd import (uncompressed) avi files that I'd created in other programs (mostly Video Explosion, but also Movie Shaker, and Windows Movie Maker), create menus in PS CS2 and my DVD's burned quickly and without errors at all. When my 30 days expired, I found they no longer offered 2.0 and I decided to spend the big bucks at got Creative Suite 3 really solely for Encore.

I've now spent 3 days trying all kinds of different things, many different files from different sources and I always get the same error message of "PGC "file name" has an error at "time" internal software error %0, line "file name:, time 00:"time", ref= BPGC.

I did read some messages on here about uncompressed avi vs. compressed avi. I did find that I was using uncompressed avi, but when I used Adobe premiere and rendered as MPEG 2 ( I believe), I got the same error. The only success (?) I had was when I rendered a file as a .MOV. It did burn without the dreaded error message, but the quality was extremely poor and jumpy.

Any ideas? I've got a project due in a couple of days and at present I've got files that I can't get to DVD...

Encore CS6 missing Library files

Hello all freaks.

I have in recent years been CS5 Production Premium installed and then decided yesterday to upgrade to CS6. I bought, downloaded and installed the Production Premium. I installed also package Adobe Premier Pro CS6 additional ReadMe files plus content (menus, buttons and backgrounds) for Adobe Encore CS6.

In Encore CS6 it created the groups Corporate, Entertainment, General, Technology, Travel and Wedding, but there appear no menus, buttons or backgrounds when clicked.

I've looked in the respective folders under Adobe Encore CS6/Library/, but they contain no psd files, only two m2vloc files of about 10-20 kb each.

When I browse the corresponding folders in my old CS5, there is a large amount of psd files with menus, buttons and backgrounds in these folders, but not in my CS6 installation.

I hope someone can help me with a solution so I can move on.

Thank you in advance.

NB: Although it looks so, I'm not new in the forum, but have been here for the last 10 years. However, Adobe's staff has (at my request) deleted my original profile, as it constantly showed my e-mail address instead of my username/nickname. It did so today again, so I have once again created a new temporary profile until Adobe gets solved the problem.
