We now have the second major release of Creative Cloud applications -- and Adobe has yet to update Encore.
Outputting video to DVD and Blu-ray are basic tasks. The arguments that Adobe has put forth on this subject are lame excuses. The workaround Adobe has provided (download and install Premiere Pro CS6, then uninstall Premiere Pro but keep Encore CS6) is lame. Billions of still images are only viewed on smart phones. Does that mean Adobe should ship the next version of Photoshop and restrict it to images that are only as big as one can display on a smart phone? After all, if it can handle the 99.5% of images that are never printed, why bother with that other 0.5%?
I was told today that this is a marketing decision by Adobe. Adobe management believes almost no one wants this capability.
