Hi I have a quite specific problem regarding subtitles on Blurays in Encore.
I want the subtitles to default to ON (strong wish from customer). But even with what I believe to be the correct settings, the bluray discs do not play back with the subtitles defaulting to on, not in Macgo or VLC on my computer, my producer is taking the discs to test on his blurayplayers at home. The project is a very simple autoplay disc, with only one timeline, no menus, one audio track and one subtitle track. Ive set the language of the subtitle to English, the disc settings has been set to Set Subtitle: 1, on all variables Ive set to specify link -> timeline with audio 1 and subtitles 1 (First Play, Override, Title Button, Main Timeline, End Action, Override, Menu Remote)
Ive googled the subject a fair amount, but can only find references to an opposite bug, where they can not turn the default to OFF, here there were certain workarounds, like having "subtitle 1" empty. But I cant think of any workarounds for turning it ON by default, maybe add a menu with a button to specify link? (The client does not want a menu.) Was the bug fixed by reversing the problem?
